OFFICIAL RULES - BANFF 2025-2026 SAMPLE COMPETITION

1. CONTEST ORGANIZER

SLY Foods: 195 Rue Brissette #72 Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, QC J8C 3S4, Canada

2. CONTEST PERIOD

The contest begins on December 1, 2025 at 00:00 (EST) and ends on May 31, 2026 at 23:59 (EST) ("the contest period").

The contest period is divided into two (2) entry periods, each with its own draw:

Period 1: December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026
Period 2: March 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026

Entries received during a given period will only be eligible for the corresponding draw. Non-winning entries will not be carried over to the next period.

3. ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all individuals legally residing in Canada and aged 18 or older at the time of participation.

Employees of SLY Foods, their immediate family members, and anyone professionally involved in the administration of this contest are not eligible to participate.

4. HOW TO ENTER

To enter the contest, participants must:

Obtain a SLY sample distributed as part of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour.
Scan the QR code printed on the sample to access the official online entry form.
Fill out the entry form with their name, email address, and flavor preferences.
Agree to the present contest rules before submitting the form.

Limit of one (1) entry per person per entry period. Any multiple entries from the same person within the same period will be disqualified.

5. PRIZE

One (1) winner per entry period will receive a prize including CAD $300 worth of SLY freeze-dried meals (minimum total retail value).

The prize will include an assortment of SLY freeze-dried meals selected by SLY Foods.

In addition to the meals, the prize will also include SLY outdoor accessories, including a portable camping chair, a camping stove, and a silicone doser.

The total value of the meals awarded will not be reduced by the addition of accessories or outdoor equipment.

The prize must be accepted as is and cannot be transferred, assigned, or exchanged for cash. SLY Foods reserves the right to substitute any prize item with another of equal or greater value, provided that the minimum total value of CAD $300 in SLY meals is maintained.

For clarity, all eligible entries received before any updates made to the prize description will receive a prize of equal or greater value than that presented at the time of entry.

6. WINNER SELECTION

A draw will be held within five (5) business days following the end of each entry period, from all eligible entries received during that period.

The draw dates are as follows:

First draw: March 6, 2026
Second draw: June 5, 2026

Each draw will be conducted by SLY Foods or its authorized representative.

7. NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM

The selected winner will be notified by email within five (5) business days following the draw.
The winner must respond within five (5) days of notification to claim their prize.

Before being declared an official winner, the selected participant must:

Correctly answer, without mechanical or other assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question; and
Sign and return a confirmation and release form provided by SLY Foods.

Any participant who does not respond within the prescribed period, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or does not comply with these rules will be disqualified, and another winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

8. PRIZE DELIVERY

The prize will be shipped free of charge to the winner's address in Canada, or delivered by mutual agreement.
SLY Foods is not responsible for shipping delays or damages that may occur during transit.

9. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information collected as part of this contest will be used solely for its administration and, with the participant's consent, for sending promotional communications from SLY Foods.

Participants may withdraw their consent to receive marketing communications at any time.
Personal information will be processed in accordance with SLY Foods' Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian personal information protection legislation.

By participating, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information in accordance with these rules.

10. PUBLICITY

By accepting the prize, the winner authorizes SLY Foods to use their name, city of residence, photograph, and testimonial for promotional purposes, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating in the contest, each participant releases SLY Foods, its employees, officers, directors, and representatives from all liability arising from participation in the contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of the prize.

SLY Foods assumes no responsibility for:

Lost, late, incomplete, invalid, illegible, or misdirected entries;
Technical, hardware, software, or telephone failures;
Errors related to the administration of the contest or the awarding of the prize;
Any unauthorized human intervention in any part of the contest process.

12. GENERAL CONDITIONS

SLY Foods reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other circumstance beyond its control compromises its integrity or proper functioning.
In such a case, SLY Foods may award the prize among the eligible entries received before the cancellation.

All decisions made by SLY Foods regarding this contest are final and without appeal.

13. APPLICABLE LAWS

The contest is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada.
Any dispute arising from this contest will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.
