SLY Foods manufactures gourmet and vegan freeze-dried meals in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. Our small and growing team is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and meticulous individual to play a key role in our daily operations.

THE POSITION
You will primarily operate our automatic packaging line and ensure that products are packaged efficiently, cleanly, and according to our quality standards. The position combines equipment operation, handling, cleaning, and production support.

APPROXIMATE BREAKDOWN OF WORK

  • 55% Operation of the automatic packaging line and boxing;
  • 20% Filling and emptying the freeze-dryer, cleaning plates;
  • 15% Production support and product preparation before packaging;
  • 10% Cleaning the line and rigorous maintenance of premises cleanliness;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Feed, start, monitor, and stop the line; perform product changes and routine adjustments;
  • Check the quality of finished pouches, box them, and promptly report any discrepancies or problems;
  • Fill and empty the freeze-dryer; handle and clean production plates;
  • Weigh, crush, and mix certain dry products; assist occasionally in the kitchen;
  • Clean the line and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment;
  • Assist as needed with receiving and shipping products and raw materials, and any other related operational support tasks.

THE SOUGHT-AFTER PROFILE

  • You are punctual, reliable, and consistent: the team can count on your presence and the quality of your work;
  • You enjoy concrete, manual, and repetitive work, and you can maintain a good pace throughout the day;
  • You are meticulous, organized, and attentive to cleanliness, quality, and instructions;
  • You can work autonomously while collaborating with a small team;
  • You are comfortable working standing up and occasionally lifting loads of up to 25 kg;
  • You can read and follow work and safety procedures in French;
  • Experience in machine operation, food production, packaging, kitchen, or warehouse is a plus; mechanical aptitude is also appreciated;

CONDITIONS AND SCHEDULE

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, day;
  • Half a day on Saturday or Sunday is part of the schedule, depending on production needs;
  • Salary from $22 to $26/h, depending on relevant experience and level of autonomy.
